Masala & Mole

[maxbutton id=”3″ ]

Indo-Mexican cooking – a culinary adventure with two of the most popular ethnic cuisines.

Monika & Barbara, two experienced cooks from India and Mexico, invite the community of Colorado Springs to a unique cooking experience. They will share with you the best of both cultures. Spices, peppers and a wide variety of amazing ingredients will dance together to be transformed into delectable dishes for you to enjoy. Flavors and aromas from both countries will inundate the kitchen and our group of cooks will be able to experience authentic Mexican and Indian cooking. You’ll learn some homemade recipes easy to replicate at home.

In this three hour class, we will prepare four different dishes from each country (eight in total). Also you’ll be able to make naan bread from scratch. At the end you will enjoy an incredible taco station with all the dishes, freshly made naan bread, corn tortillas and beautiful salsa and chutney to garnish.

She is passionate about sharing her Mexican heritage with the Colorado Springs community. Coming from a traditional Mexican family, she grew up surrounded by the aroma of delicious Mexican food -“I used to love walking the street mercados (markets), where I could taste every fruit and enjoy the freshness, beauty and colors of the produce. All of my family stories began in our cocina (kitchen)”.
